Chapter 283

The U.A. students stare at the wreckage Gigantomachia left as he resumes his march toward Tomura Shigaraki. Cellophane asks Tentacole whether the pros are dead; the distance makes it impossible to say, and knowing would change nothing anyway. Creati understands the only reason any of them survived is that the giant never rated them as enemies. Majestic used his Quirk to move the students clear, telling them first that their decisions were the right ones and that they should never second-guess them. Now Shemage wonders whether the sedative should have taken hold, and Grape Juice questions the whole premise, since from where he stands the situation only deteriorated. Inside a medical center, Tsukuyomi pulls Hawks and three doctors out of the giant's path.

In Jaku, the Police Force takes Kyudai Garaki into custody while he insists the tide only turned because the heroes slipped and let Tomura wake. For the benefit of the officers and Present Mic, he describes the giant as a walking calamity whose whole existence begins and ends with his master, and reveals that the Nomu were built in that image, because a king requires strong soldiers. With the giant moving, he says, ruin is guaranteed.

Where the fighting is, Endeavor demands to know where his son disappeared to and learns that Shoto had gone to assist Ryukyu's group; Shoto packs him in ice to bring his temperature down. Manual and Rock Lock work on Eraser Head's severed leg while Rock Lock orders Deku to run, which Deku refuses. Tomura announces that everyone present dies now, and then his body splits and sprays blood, which Deku catches.

The wound baffles Tomura, since Super Regeneration is back online, and he asks Deku what the date is. Deku works out that the vessel cannot handle All For One's power, much the way his own body could not handle One For All at first. The cause traces back to Mirko wrecking the capsule when the process stood at 75 percent, and Ryukyu's sidekick is meanwhile carrying Mirko to safety, insisting she will pull through.

Regeneration kicks in regardless, and Tomura reaches for Decay to end everyone at once. Deku is already airborne, hauling the others up with Blackwhip. Gran Torino recognizes what he is seeing: Nana Shimura's Quirk, Float. Deku closes on Tomura and swears to end this with everything he has.

Gigantomachia levels cities on his way to Tomura with what remains of the Paranormal Liberation Front. Every hero who engaged him at the villa has been defeated, the students surviving only because Majestic moved them to safety.

Dr. Garaki, arrested by the authorities, learns the giant is coming and reveals that the Nomu were modeled on him.

Tomura's body begins to tear because his rebuilt form was left incomplete at 75 percent.

Deku unlocks Float, and Gran Torino turns out to have lived through the blow, though he is gravely wounded.

Seventeen pages, published in Weekly Shonen Jump issue 40 of 2020 and collected in volume 29 during the Paranormal Liberation War arc. Twelve students share the cover, and Episode 122 adapts the chapter.

The title works on two levels: it marks Tomura's 75 percent completion and Deku's use of Quirks belonging to the seventh and fifth holders of One For All.

Kohei Horikoshi's author comment celebrates the release of a Revoltech Deku figure, something he says he had daydreamed about since his first series.
