Chapter 311

Endeavor comes under fire from low-ranked villains, one of them wielding a powerful nail gun he traces back to Detnerat. Ignited Arrow ends the fight, and though the villain gripes that the heroes are the reason anyone is out here, Endeavor answers that this is exactly why he came, then hands him to the police.

Regrouping with Best Jeanist and Hawks, he confirms the convicts were not dispatched by All For One. Protestors then surround the three, branding them hero scum, blaming them for letting Tomura Shigaraki escape and for the prison break, and pointing out that the heroes are still withholding whatever Tomura is hunting. One demands to know whether Endeavor has watched the grieving families of Dabi's victims on television. The jeering follows the car as it pulls away.

From the road, Hawks asks Edgeshot by phone to stay on the Paranormal Liberation Front, then floats giving All Might and Deku more distance, since press coverage of the arrangement would only land on the boy. Endeavor agrees, uneasy about using Izuku as bait even though Izuku asked for it, and frustrated that the villains have gone to ground.

Their reasoning runs this way: the Tartarus escapees are making noise on All For One's orders while he lies low and pursues One For All, and Best Jeanist argues that a villain in that position would press the attack while the heroes fracture. As Izuku warned, the real priority is Tomura's body. All Might left All For One dependent on life support, so becoming Tomura's successor would supply a healthy vessel, and Kyudai Garaki's captive remark that Tomura woke incomplete points to a missing component none of them can name. A frail body cannot hold One For All, and Best Jeanist reasons that seizing a Quirk carrying eight wills demands a fierce one of your own. Hawks counters that All For One chased his brother and the heirs for decades and should have hatred to spare, yet the man never stops smiling, which points to an absence rather than a shortage, something simply missing inside him. With no usable intelligence from their captives, they decide to take the fight outward and widen the search, even if street patrols thin out. Then an alert sounds.

Nightfall finds All Might tracking Deku by phone and recalling how Sir Nighteye pushed him to rest occasionally. The GPS signal disappears, and a grenade detonates against his car. At Deku's end, the signal is gone because a bullet has pinned his phone to a wall, and a microphone in the round carries a woman's voice telling him to come along if he wants to keep his limbs. Deku understands at once that All For One has finally sent someone for him. The shooter, perched on a rooftop with Kai Chisaki beside her, is the same woman who emptied his cell, firing from a rifle protruding from her arm.

The three pros keep rounding up escapees while debating what form the villains' next attack will take.

A crowd of protestors berates the three for past failures, letting slip that the public knows Tomura hunts a particular person.

Hawks proposes that the rage required to seize One For All has to come from Tomura, since All For One holds none of his own.

An ambush destroys All Might's car.

The assassin freed from Tartarus corners Deku on All For One's orders, with Kai Chisaki seated in the shadows behind her, and her Quirk retracts her elbow into a rifle.

Fifteen pages, carried in issue 23 of 2021 on May 10 and collected in Volume 32 under the Dark Hero arc. Endeavor fronts the cover, and Episode 133 adapts the material.

The chapter opens Deku's fight with Lady Nagant and includes the skirmish between the pro heroes and the robbers.
