Chapter 347

The writhing fingers keep sprawling across the arena and chew through part of the U.A. building itself. Phantom Thief insists Erasure is still running, prompting Edgeshot to ask whether the thing is even a Quirk. Tomura answers that it is only growth, no different from hair or fingernails: his frame has to adapt to Quirks that will not stop evolving. This shape, he says, is the next rung of their superhuman society: the Quirk Singularity named by Doctor Kyudai Garaki. He taunts the heroes for burying the problem and pretending the future is not coming.

Mirko loses her robotic arm and leg and calls down replacements from beneath the field, then bickers with Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight until Best Jeanist tells them both to concentrate. Phantom Thief starts to falter despite doing everything Eraser Head drilled into him. Mandalay reports that contact with Deku has been established. He informs his teacher that Himiko snatched him and dumped him on Okuto Island, and asks for a warp back before the fighting cuts him off.

The heroes work out that warping him is impossible. Phantom Thief cannot run two Quirks at once, and switching to Warp Gate would cost roughly ten seconds with Erasure down. The instant Erasure drops, Decay flows through every finger in that endless wave and the fight is over. Eraser Head tells Deku to make his own way back, and the rest resolve to beat Tomura here, One For All or no One For All.

Okuto Island sits some 200 kilometres out into the pacific, and its centerpiece, the Okuto Aquarium, is now a battlefield. Gang Orca, who runs the place, shouts to his sidekicks as they struggle with a Near High-End Nomu that is plainly tougher than the ones at Jaku, and they wonder whether All For One packed them with even more Quirks. Escaped convicts join in and the whole floor becomes a melee. Sirius spots Froppy safe and reports that Deku and Uravity were caught in the shockwave.

Pinned in the middle of it, Deku tells Uravity that Warp Gate is off the table and he has to travel there himself. Before he can move, Himiko lunges with her knives, shouting that she loves him and telling him not to leave. Deku is again disturbed that his Danger Sense refuses to fire even with her mid-charge, while Hikage Shinomori wonders how someone like her ever got this far. He asks what she wants. Her answer is that she wants him as her boyfriend, and both he and Uravity are left speechless.

Tomura's transformation is explained as a product of the Quirk Singularity, his body reshaping itself to carry the sheer volume of power inside it.

Deku cannot be warped back, since Phantom Thief can hold only a single Quirk at once, and dropping Erasure on Tomura would be fatal. The heroes commit to fighting without him.

The aquarium is identified as being on Okuto Island and run by Gang Orca. Moonfish turns up in new clothes.

Himiko goes after Deku and once more slips past his Danger Sense, since she carries no malicious intent toward him. She then asks him to be her boyfriend.
