Chapter 372

The chapter opens before the war began. Mezo and Koji went to All Might and Eraser Head asking for the Central Hospital assignment, which startled the teachers, since nobody had briefed them on the plan. Mezo had picked it up himself: talking with the giant woman and the other refugees about conditions outside, he learned a "call to action" had gone out among heteromorphs and that many were converging on the hospital. Koji would not be left behind, and Mezo said standing aside would disqualify him from the word hero. Eraser Head signed off, and later told Present Mic that the misinformation campaign about Kurogiri's location had collapsed, so the boys would need backup.

In the present, Present Mic watches Tentacole and Spinner collide and reflects on how each generation's Quirks outpace the last, his students already past anything his own year group could manage. Anima, meanwhile, drives his newly awakened range, recalling his mother's promise that horns would come for him too and would carry his feelings to animals at a distance. She also told him his father always spoke up for her when people mocked her appearance, and that he should grow into the kind of man whose anger shows when someone dear gets laughed at.

Hitchcock Birds bury Takaie completely. Tentacole answers with Octospansion, catching Spinner across the stomach with Mic's Voice layered behind it, then turns on the crowd: what exactly do their gifts protect. Thinking of the girl who once apologized to him, he tells them not to trade on their wounds and to aim higher than revenge.

Spinner answers by restating his pre-war call to action: the grudge never fades and a hero victory changes nothing, so a blow taken is a blow returned. He blasts toward the hospital at a speed that stuns Tentacole, the army streaming after him. Inside, he retraces All For One's instructions: Kurogiri waits in the research ward, and a recording of All For One or Tomura's voice will wake him, opening the Quirk that ends the war and makes Spinner a hero in Tomura's name. Behind him, though, heteromorphs falter at the sight of hospital staff standing their ground, Tentacole's words about the innocent still working on them.

Spinner presses on, thinking that reaching Kurogiri converts him from nobody into somebody, and that a crowd now moves at his back. He turns around to find it empty. Present Mic steps out instead, saying Tentacole got through to them and that this man will not be their ace. Standing over the bound villain, Spinner calls for Kurogiri while Mic calls for Oboro.

Mezo and Koji are revealed to have learned about the heteromorph call to action from the refugees, which is why they requested the hospital assignment themselves.

Anima's fresh horns are confirmed to massively widen the reach of his Anivoice Quirk.

The Liberation soldier is put out of commission by Anima, and Tentacole keeps fighting, urging Spinner and the crowd not to aim their resentment at the wrong targets.

Spinner restates the call to action and tears into Central Hospital, meaning to use All For One or Tomura's recorded voice to rouse Kurogiri, only to arrive and find that nobody followed him.

Present Mic surfaces at the same spot, and the two men shout toward the same restrained figure under different names.

Numbered 372 in Horikoshi's run, this fifteen-page installment first appeared in issue 49 of 2022 and later joined Volume 37, within the Final War arc.

Its animated coverage is split: pages one through ten fall in Episode 152, while pages eleven through fifteen open Episode 153.
