Kohei Horikoshi's fifty-fifth My Hero Academia chapter closes out two battles at once, dropping both the monster loose in Hosu and the Hero Killer himself. What follows is stranger than either fight: the villain the students just finished tying up becomes the reason Izuku Midoriya lives through the night.
Across town, the creature terrorizing Hosu swallows Endeavor's fire and throws it back, a trick the flame hero dismisses out of hand. Gran Torino warns that the thing carries more than one Quirk, and it lashes out with a tongue before the old man rockets down onto it and ends the fight in a single impact. Endeavor leaves the restraining to his sidekicks and sends Gran Torino off toward an address.
In the alley, Izuku's reinforced punch lands alongside Tenya Ida's Recipro Burst, and Stain buckles. He claws back to awareness long enough to swing a blade at Tenya, who kicks him away while Shoto Todoroki scorches his face. The Hero Killer finally gives out on Shoto's ice, and the three students strip his weapons and bind him. Shoto shapes a ramp so the others can come down safely.
Hauling the captive behind them, the group exits with the wounded pro. Tenya offers to pull Stain himself; Shoto refuses on account of the ruined arm. Izuku reassures the injured hero that nobody wins that fight alone. Gran Torino arrives, plants a foot in Izuku's face for ignoring orders, then admits relief, and Endeavor's sidekicks turn up behind him. Tenya apologizes for how he behaved, Izuku for missing his friend's pain, and Shoto tells the class president to straighten up.
A winged creature drops out of the sky and seizes Izuku. Gran Torino launches after it and Shoto readies fire, but it is Stain who solves the problem. Awake the whole time, he slips the ropes with a hidden blade, tastes blood off the injured hero's face, and locks the monster in place before driving steel through its skull. Catching Izuku as he falls, the bleeding Hero Killer names counterfeit heroes and worthless criminals as the targets of his purge, all of it, he insists, in service of a just world.
Endeavor and Gran Torino put down the Nomu rampaging through Hosu City. Endeavor then redirects Gran Torino and additional heroes to the alley where the three students are cornering Stain.
Izuku, Tenya, and Shoto together defeat the Hero Killer and restrain him. A flying Nomu abducts Izuku moments later, and Stain, who had only been feigning collapse, kills the creature and returns him to the ground.
The chapter runs nineteen pages under the Japanese title Ketchaku!?, printed in issue 39 of 2015 and collected in volume seven. Endeavor, Gran Torino, and the Hosu Nomu share the cover, and a sketch version accompanies it.
Both of the arc's parallel battles conclude here, Gran Torino and Endeavor against the Nomu and the U.A. students against Stain. Bloodcurdle, Engine, Half-Cold Half-Hot, Jet, Muscle Augmentation, and Hellflame all see use, with Recipro Burst and Recipro Extend among the super moves. Episode 30 adapts the material. Horikoshi's author comment jokes about badly misjudging how much time had passed while working.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Chapter 55 comes from the main My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi and is collected in volume 7 under the title "Conclusion?!"
Chapter 55 has Izuku Midoriya, Tenya Ida, and Shoto Todoroki finally defeat and restrain Hero Killer Stain, while Endeavor and Gran Torino separately put down the Nomu rampaging through Hosu City.
After being tied up, Stain reveals he had only been feigning collapse, freeing himself with a hidden blade to kill a flying Nomu that had grabbed Izuku Midoriya and carried him into the sky.
Stain tells the students that he targets counterfeit heroes and worthless criminals, insisting his purge serves a more just world.
Gran Torino rockets down onto the Nomu after it deflects Endeavor's fire and lashes out with its tongue, ending the fight in a single impact.
