Summary
At Marukane, Miu and Yu cannot get either Kazuho Haneyama or the manager Rokuro on the phone. Koichi Haimawari arrives pleased to have been invited and loses the mood the moment he hears she is missing. The girls knew something else occupied her but not what, and when they ask Koichi he offers only that she had wanted to tell him something before storming out for no apparent reason, which he shrugged off as typical of her. Miu calls him a blockhead for it.
They organize a search. Miu and Yu work the phones from Marukane, reaching her home and school and watching her website and social accounts, while the Sisters of Saint Lila's Academy join Koichi in sweeping her usual haunts for anything. Along the way they pull in Teruo, Jube and Ichimoku to help.
An entire day yields nothing. The hours of looking leave Koichi turning her over in his mind, until he realizes that years of acquaintance have taught him almost nothing: not where she lives, not her family, not what she likes or hates, and nothing settled about what the two of them are to each other.
On a rooftop he takes a call from Miu telling him to get back at once, because police are at Marukane with questions. Kazuho never came home over the weekend and her family filed a missing persons report; since she never told them a word about Narufest, nobody there knew to be contacted.
Koichi turns to leave, and Bomb Bees drift unnoticed to the spot he just vacated and detonate, wrecking the rooftop and pitching him off balance. His Quirk steadies him in midair and carries him safely to a neighboring roof, baffled at explosions from nowhere.
One unexploded bee peels away toward another rooftop, where Kazuho waits with a darker cast to her look, the new host of Queen Bee. Number 6 stands with her, wearing a trench coat cut like Knuckleduster's, and tells his "partner" in the language of music that their moment has arrived.
