A black liquid swallows the League whole and spits them back out at their master's feet. What follows is not a scolding but an indulgence: every failure forgiven, every resource restored, all of it aimed at one pupil. Five students crouch behind a wall and cannot make their legs move.
At the hideout, a strange black fluid engulfs Tomura Shigaraki, Kurogiri and the Vanguard Action Squad. All Might and Gran Torino lunge to stop it and the villains are warped out regardless. Kamui Woods turns his failed restraint over in his mind until Edgeshot tells him nobody there could have done better. Four Nomu rush All Might and he clears them with Oklahoma Smash. Outside, Naomasa Tsukauchi, Endeavor and the police are winning against the swarm, so when All Might emerges he leaves the rest to the flame hero.
At the flattened warehouse, Best Jeanist, Mt. Lady, Tiger and Gang Orca are alive but badly hurt. All For One applauds, crediting Best Jeanist for using his fibers to drag the other professionals clear and blunt the blast. Wounded as he is, the hero answers by sending out threads, and is impaled from across the lot for it, apparently killed. His Quirk, the villain remarks, would suit nothing about Tomura's temperament, so there is no reason to take it.
Behind a broken wall, five students are pinned in place by the sheer presence of the man, unable to make themselves move: Momo Yaoyorozu, Tenya Ida, Eijiro Kirishima, Shoto Todoroki and Izuku Midoriya. Then Katsuki Bakugo forms out of the black fluid at the villain's feet, and their attention snaps to him. All For One offers the boy an apology as Tomura, Kurogiri and the rest of the squad materialize alongside.
His apprentice has come up short again, and the response carries neither anger nor disappointment. He points out that the Vanguard Action Squad remains, that Katsuki is worth having, and that Tomura is welcome to keep failing for as long as he pleases, because the whole enterprise exists for his sake alone.
Izuku realizes the enemy has not spotted their position and starts working the problem. Full Cowl, a jump to Katsuki, then a run, until he sees for himself that no escape route exists. He tries to move anyway, because unlike last time the chance is right in front of him, and Tenya holds him back.
All Might drops out of the sky onto All For One, who felt him coming and blocks the strike. The hero declares he intends to take everything back. The villain only wonders whether he means to try killing him a second time.
The black warping fluid removes the villains and Katsuki from the hideout before the heroes can secure them.
Best Jeanist saves every hero near him from the blast and is struck down by All For One for his trouble, who taunts him and declines to steal his Quirk.
All For One gathers the League and Katsuki at his own position while Izuku's group hides nearby, then All Might arrives to renew their rivalry.
