It has also gone by the Academy Arc and the Ghost Incident, and it centers on Boruto Uzumaki settling into life at the Academy as Nue stirs up disturbances throughout Konohagakure. The same events were later retold across three tie-in light novels, each covering its own block of episodes.

Summary

Weeks on from the Nue incident, Boruto finds that his strange eye no longer switches on. At Senju Park, Naruto, Sai, and Shikamaru weigh in on Sumire, and at the Academy Shino tells his class she will sit out ninja practice for a time. He has the students split into trios, pairing Ino-Shika-Chō together and prompting Boruto to team up with Mitsuki and Metal. Worried for Sumire, Shino offers Iruka to take charge of her, then visits her cell to reassure her. The next day the trios spar, and while Shino slips off to fetch Sumire, Boruto's group clashes with Shikadai's, a match that ends with the training scaffolds crashing down and Boruto claiming the win.
