Ashimaru

Ashimaru cuts a hulking figure, standing a full head over Konohamaru Sarutobi. His dark hair is short and spiked above a browless face, and a red triangle marks his forehead, its point reaching down between his eyes. He wears a long black shirt whose half-mask hides his lower face, cinched by a broad belt that leaves two lapels hanging over blue trousers, with bandages winding up his arms and a pair of swords slung across his back. Ordinary shinobi sandals complete the look, one of them wrapped in bandaging.

Cold-blooded and hungry for a fight, Ashimaru thinks nothing of killing a child or turning his blade on the very employer who paid him. His faith in his own strength runs so high that he charges in recklessly, sparing no thought for defense.

Once the Fourth Shinobi World War ends, Ashimaru and his partner Hidari lose their livelihoods and begin taking jobs on their own. Fifteen years later a man named Iori hires them to obtain the deed to the Green Banks bridge, and they supply the poison he uses to murder the village's head before spending three months battering the settlement to pressure its new leader, Kiri, into surrendering the document. His twin swords mark him as a practiced blade-fighter, and he proves remarkably tough, brushing off a string of explosive-tag detonations. When Kiri turns to Konohagakure for aid, Hidari hatches a plan to abduct and ransom her instead, and once a diversion lets Iori seize her, the two rogues betray and kill their employer. Ashimaru then rounds on the young Team 7, swatting aside Boruto and Mitsuki with ease, but Sarada studies his movements during that first exchange, sets up a combined assault, and drops the towering mercenary with a single crushing blow.
