Guruko

Guruko sports tan fur and a white snout, with long ears in dark brown and whiskers more pronounced than those of his packmates. Like Kakashi's other ninken, he wears a blue vest bearing the heno-heno-moheji mark and a Konoha forehead protector.

The source says little of his temperament, portraying him mainly as a diligent, cooperative tracker who works seamlessly within Kakashi's pack.

Guruko's senses are sharp enough to trail a target with ease, and he can even follow prey underground using the Summoning: Earth Release: Tracking Fang Technique, then hold it down so Kakashi can strike freely; alongside the rest of the pack he drills a range of coordinated formations. Kakashi has called on him repeatedly: to hunt the missing-nin Zabuza Momochi in the Land of Waves, biting down and pinning him for the Lightning Cutter; to track Naruto's team during the Sasuke Recovery Mission; to scout the Takumi Village; and, in Part II, to chase the Akatsuki's Sasori and later Itachi Uchiha, pairing with Akino under Shino. In the anime he also joined the search for the abducted Rin Nohara and the fleeing Orochimaru, and during the Kakashi Hiden events he helped sniff out the exploding tags planted aboard the Tobishachimaru, handing them off to Might Guy.
