Hyōi Yorishiro

Short of stature and lean, Hyōi has pale skin and brown eyes set beneath a browless forehead. His brown hair rises into a tall pompadour split by a red stripe down the middle. A plain grey vest and trousers, cinched with white straps at the waist, round out the outfit.

Years of stealing have hollowed out any scruples. Hyōi weighs only the payoff and how it will serve him, indifferent to the harm he leaves behind. That greed pairs with vanity: convinced he will never be caught, he tends to grow careless.

Infiltration is Hyōi's craft, honed enough to land him among the Bingo Books. His hallmark trick is masking his chakra to imitate another person so precisely that even a refined Sensing Barrier fails to flag him. Combined with the Transformation Technique, the disguise lets him drift through guarded places unnoticed.

His run of thefts eventually carried him into Konohagakure, where he passed himself off as a local laborer and began quietly gathering goods. Inojin Yamanaka undid him by catching a faint wobble in the counterfeit chakra, and Hyōi was swiftly pinned by Inojin and his friends. The incident pushed the Konoha Barrier Team to develop new filters that could expose such impersonations.
