Appearance

Light-eyed and brown-haired, Ichi is a tall, hollow-cheeked man who closely mirrors San in build. A few details set them apart: a lone violet rectangle marks his forehead, his fringe falls to the left, and he drapes his cloak over the right shoulder with straps running from the left, the reverse of how San wears them. A sign on his back matches the emblem in Hiruko's left palm, and whether he and San share any blood is never made clear.

Personality

Ichi carries himself with heavy arrogance, sneering at and belittling his enemies in the middle of a fight. He shares his allies' readiness to invoke the Chimera Technique and fuse with others, untroubled that doing so warps his own body.

Abilities

Ichi holds his own in close combat, keeping pace with Team Guy through skilled taijutsu, and the Chimera Technique furnishes him with double-headed snakes he turns to many uses. Through them he can perform the Summoning Technique, bulk out his arms, weave nets, and loose powerful projectiles with his Spinning Snake Thorn. His chakra reserves run larger than usual and his body is remarkably tough, surviving the combined force of Neji's Revolving Heaven and Rock Lee's Front Lotus head-on. Dispatched by Hiruko to keep anyone from disrupting Kakashi's approach, he fought Team Guy and fell to a joint assault by Rock Lee and Neji. Down but not gone, he was absorbed by San, who merged with Ni into a towering chimera beast; the Konoha 11 restrained the creature until Hiruko summoned it, and their combined attacks finally destroyed it and Ichi with it. His name means one, while his partners' names carry the meanings of two and three.
