San

San has light eyes and brown hair, and he looks almost identical to his comrade Ichi. A few small details set the two apart: three rectangular marks sit on San's forehead, his bangs sweep to the right, and he wears his cloak and straps opposite to the way Ichi does. Those same three marks repeat on the cloak itself. Whether the pair are actually related is never made clear.

Like the others in Hiruko's trio, San brims with confidence in his own power and refuses to listen to reason even when it would serve him. He shows no reluctance to invoke the Chimera Technique and merge his body with others, however grotesquely it warps his form.

His main weapon is a heavily modified summoned bird large enough to carry him, able to fire feathers and exploding projectiles with pinpoint aim and to burst forward in short jet-driven sprints. Through the Chimera Technique he can pull in Ichi and Ni to combine into a single beast that wields all of their summoned creatures and powers at once, and he shrugs off Ino Yamanaka's Mind Body Switch almost instantly. He battles Team Asuma, Naruto, and Sakura until Sai intervenes, then merges with his partners into the chimera. The combined monster is pinned by the Konoha 11 and, after Hiruko summons it away and it returns, at last destroyed, killing San with it.
