A shinobi of the Hyuga clan's main house, Ko spent years as Hinata's appointed guardian, watching over her whenever she stepped away from the Academy. His devotion to her wellbeing colours nearly every appearance he makes, from her childhood through the Fourth Shinobi World War.
Ko wears his brown hair short and spiked backward, above a broad, sharply defined nose and the blank white eyes shared by his clan. On duty he keeps to the regular Konoha outfit, flak jacket included, with his forehead protector tied bandanna-style. Off duty he switches to the black kimono that serves as the Hyuga clan's signature dress.
Everything about Ko orbits his care for Hinata. He guarded her happiness as closely as her safety and was pained whenever she looked downcast. He often steered her away from Naruto Uzumaki, most likely uneasy about the boy's status as a jinchuriki, and once let a mention of the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox slip in front of her, then deflected her questions rather than explain.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
For several years Ko acted as Hinata's caretaker, entrusted with her whenever she was away from the Academy. During the Konoha Crush he traveled with Hiashi to recover her after Kumogakure shinobi abducted her, pausing along the way to help Tenten put down a pack of mud wolves. As a Hyuga he wields the Byakugan, whose near-total field of vision and ability to see through solid matter mark him as a skilled shinobi fit to protect the heir.
When Pain assaulted the village, Ko called Hinata back from joining Naruto's fight, insisting she would only hinder him, then watched through his Byakugan, helpless with a leg broken by Shinra Tensei, as she charged in regardless. He later mended under her care in the infirmary. At a clan meeting before the Fourth Shinobi World War, he questioned Hiashi's choice of Neji to lead the Hyuga forces, arguing that Hinata had grown and belonged to the main house, though Hiashi countered that she still lacked the confidence to command. Ko woke from the Infinite Tsukuyomi once Naruto and Sasuke broke the genjutsu, and afterward attended the mass funeral held in Konoha.
