Komachi

Long blonde hair falls from a raised tie into four separate strands, and tucked among it sit clusters of yellow needles distributed across six holders. Her face stays hidden behind a white feline mask marked with purple arrow shapes. Though she has no ties to the Root division, she dresses in that group's standard uniform, and a blade rides across her back.

Duty defines her. She carries out every command without question and holds the protection of the Hidden Leaf as her purpose. During a fight she is not above taunting whoever stands across from her.

In combat her ornamental hairpins double as weapons, giving her a reach that outstrips Towa's. She can suspend her thrown needles in the air, holding them steady until a gap in the enemy's guard appears, a technique that echoes Haku's old game-only style and marks her as something of a successor to him.

Her story begins when she and Towa press two captured rogue ninja for answers. The pair say nothing, win their duel, yet slip away afterward. Following the trail leads the Anbu to a razed settlement whose people had turned on one another, and they relay the grim discovery to Konoha and then to Tsunade. She surfaces again briefly inside the enemy base, reporting to Yūgao Uzuki that the mastermind remains unidentified.

The trail eventually points to Kagura, who admits she seeded every clue herself, her real aim being to draw the Hokage into a fatal duel over an old grudge. Komachi and Towa attack together and both fall, after which Kakashi Hatake and Sakura Haruno step in. She vanishes from the tale from there, presumably rushing back to warn Tsunade.
