Appearance

This summon is an enormous creature that fuses the features of a lion and a turtle. A shaggy green mane hides its face, framed by an orange guard plate pierced on either side, while bold red patterns run across the outer shell. When it bonds with Ni, she rides atop its head with her legs fully fused into the beast.

Abilities

The beast can spew fire from its jaws and vent scalding steam through its nose. Its bulk comes at a cost, though: as Kiba Inuzuka points out, it is sluggish and struggles to answer quick, agile attacks.

History

Ni calls on the Lion-Turtle to take on Team Kurenai. She later fuses with the creature through the Chimera Technique, but the merged pair is brought down by Shino Aburame's kikaichu insects. The summon reappears in the game Naruto Mobile, where Hiruko calls it out to fuel his strongest assault, unleashing a stream of flame; it also joins Ni's mightiest move, though that version falls short of Hiruko's. A profile in that game names the beast Genbu and calls it a lion demon.
