History

A trained medical-nin, Magire bends his healing expertise toward poison, the craft he truly excels at. He fashions kunai with glass blades to carry his toxins and keeps antidotes ready in case his own poisons are turned against him. His chakra reserves run deep enough that swallowing the Tailed Beast Drug wraps him in a six-tailed cloak, from which he can hurl searing orbs of light almost nonstop.

Serving as Kido Tsumiki's aide, he echoes his master's scorn for Sakura Haruno's children's mental-health clinic and manages the making of Kido's man-made Tailed Beast Drug, filing regular updates on its manufacture and trials. When Ino, Sai, and Sakura start peeling back the scheme, he drugs Sakura for questioning but underdoses her, and she gets away. In the ensuing clash Sai's Super God Imitating Drawing pins him fast, driving him to take the drug to break loose. His heightened speed and power notwithstanding, Ino feigns collapse, hijacks a passing hawk with her Mind Body Switch Technique, and sinks a kunai into his back; the antidote fails him, having been swapped for an anaesthetic. Beaten at last, he and Kido are delivered to Ibiki Morino for interrogation.
