Appearance

Ranking as the middle of his three teammates in height, Midare has fair skin and a browless face marked by dark eyewear fitted with separate deep-blue lenses. He wears a light grey jumpsuit striped in fine lines, split down the centre by a broad black band, with an oxygen tank riding along his right side, dark sandals, and pale grey gloves. His head is topped by the altered kasa hat bearing the Amegakure crest, and a black sheath rides across his back to hold his four umbrellas.

Personality

Midare brims with confidence in himself and in Shigure, freely sneering at the Three Sand Siblings for daring to stand against his team. Descriptions paint him as spiteful and self-serving, a cruel sort who leans on cold calculation to size up any situation.

Abilities

Counted among Ame's finest practitioners of assassination, Midare can move unseen through falling rain, using its noise to mask his approach and slip in behind a target. That same sharp, scheming mind places him a cut above his peers, and he serves as the brains behind Team Shigure's tactics. His reputation, however, does not carry into the Chunin Exams. During the second phase his squad runs into the Sand Siblings, and Shigure, hunting Gaara's scroll, badly underrates him. When Shigure's Senbon Shower fails against Gaara's protective sand, Gaara answers with the Sand Binding Coffin, trapping the Ame genin and crushing them to death. In games such as Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Online and Naruto Mobile he returns as a recurring rival, drawn far taller than in the manga and anime and fighting with senbon.
