Mozu Shitakiri

Mozu is a plump woman of middling height and fair skin, with grey eyes and purple hair that reaches her shoulders and curls at the ends, one section of bangs sweeping over her right eye. She wears a red dress with a black cowl draped at the waist and a white marten boa across it, and finishes the look with purple lipstick, matching eyeliner and nail polish, and a red floppy accessory tied off with a black ribbon to one side. Gold jewellery covers her, from a necklace and several rings to a band at the left wrist and a pearl bracelet on the right.

Greed and self-regard define Mozu. Having grown up feeling worthless, she is consumed by a hunger for status and will betray anyone's goodwill to climb toward it, which has hardened her into a coldly business-minded operator with a gaudy sense of style. She deals only with the world's elite, courting celebrities and officials, and leans on threats and bribery to get her way. Animals mean nothing to her beyond their price.

Toward her son Tsuzura she behaves like a narcissistic parent, grooming him as an heir yet treating him as an asset, refusing to let him attend school or even learn to read and write, both to keep him under her control and to avoid spending money. She dismisses his feelings and is willing to hurt him to keep him obedient, and her arrogance runs so deep that she waves off warnings that Sasuke Uchiha is far beyond her weight.

Mozu's cruelty is rooted in her origins. Lost and freezing in the woods as a poor child, she was warmed by a rare white marten thought to be extinct, and the newspaper attention that followed convinced her of her calling. Rather than cherish the creature she had called her good-luck charm, she killed it and wore it as a boa, then built a career selling rare and exotic animals to wealthy clients, among them Ikkyū Madoka, who bought a ferret for his son Tentō. Determined to add the celebrated Senri Hawks to her stock, she pressured their breeder Maruta with threats and rockslides after he refused to sell.

When Sasuke Uchiha and Boruto Uzumaki arrived at Paradise, she dismissed them as low-class until she learned of Boruto's tie to the Fire Daimyō, then showed them the cramped cages and introduced Tsuzura before realising they were ninja rather than buyers, and had them thrown out once Boruto condemned her treatment of the animals. Discovering that Tsuzura had kept meeting Boruto to learn how to care for his hawk Yuki, she confiscated the bird, locked the boy away, and planned to have Yuki stuffed. Her scheme collapsed when Sasuke traded a new Senri Hawk for Yuki and Tsuzura; placed under Sasuke's genjutsu, the hawk feigned distress, recovered, and swept through Paradise freeing the caged animals, who wrecked the compound. As Tsuzura finally defied her and she threatened to ruin them all through her connections, her own security chief, now aware of Sasuke's reputation, warned her that he was out of her league.
