Having left Suna to follow Sasori, Mukade was used as a living sacrifice, reshaped into a copy of Kisame Hoshigaki to stall Team Guy while the Akatsuki drew the One-Tailed Shukaku out of Gaara. Might Guy destroyed the false Kisame with his Morning Peacock, killing Mukade in the process, and his remains were afterward consumed by Zetsu.
