As with every Aburame, Shikuro's body served as a living hive. Where most of his clan carry kikaichu that drain an opponent's chakra, he instead housed rinkaichu, which kill by ravaging a target's cells with poison. According to Tobi, Shikuro and his kin also held the antidote to that toxin and carried antibodies in their blood that left them immune to it.
