Dark eyes and chin-length black hair mark Shisō's look. He fastens a purple forehead protector across his brow and layers a blue-purple flak jacket over a black long-sleeved shirt, finishing the outfit with black shorts.

Shisō shared Akahoshi's belief that villagers' safety could be gambled away if it meant lifting Hoshigakure above the Five Great Shinobi Countries, which is why he agreed to kill their own leader and restart the star training. Unlike his ruthless commander, though, he carried doubts, questioning whether murdering the Hoshikage had gone too far and trying to talk Akahoshi down from confronting the protesting villagers. When the crime was exposed, he panicked and tried to deny his role, more concerned with dodging punishment than owning up. Deception came easily to him, and pressure rattled him quickly.

After the Third Hoshikage halted the dangerous star training, Shisō joined Yotaka and Akahoshi in demanding its return, and when the leader refused, the three assassinated him and passed the death off as sudden illness while Akahoshi crowned himself the Fourth Hoshikage. During the Star Guard Mission, Rock Lee and Tenten grew suspicious of the pair and staked them out until they were noticed. Shisō could lend Akahoshi his chakra reserves and wield the Mysterious Peacock Method, but he offered little resistance once the plan collapsed. Akahoshi eventually drained the chakra of both followers, and after fusing with the meteor his wild power struck them down alongside everyone nearby. With Akahoshi beaten, Tsunade declared that all three conspirators would face severe punishment.
