Suzaku Nara

Suzaku gathers his hair high on his head, and the tips of that ponytail flare outward into shapes suggesting a pair of horns. A modest goatee sits below faint creases at the corners of his mouth, and he dresses in the regular attire issued to Konoha's ninja.

As with every Nara, Suzaku commands the family art of bending shadows to his will. He shows real skill with the Shadow Imitation Technique, using it to lock Naruto in place before the jinchūriki can slip any further after breaking free of the Falls of Truth.

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Suzaku is placed on a squad of Leaf ninja charged with watching over Naruto while the young shinobi is kept on the Island Turtle. When Naruto refuses to remain inside the Tailed Beast Temple and shoves his way past two Maruten and Shitō Akimichi, Suzaku catches him with his shadow, halting his escape. The hold does not last, however, as Naruto shifts into his Nine-Tails Chakra Mode and shatters the technique. His given name uses the characters for Vermillion Bird, one of the four mythological creatures found in the Chinese constellations.
