The Three Giant Snakes were colossal serpents called up during the Konoha Crush. Loosed on the Leaf Village, they were meant to smash through its outer defences before the invasion proper began.
Each serpent was brown, mottled with darker comma-shaped patches across the length of its body, and large enough to loom over Konoha's structures and even the wall ringing the village. A red scarf was wound at the base of every head, and their eyes glowed yellow-green within a black rim. The anime version joined the three together near their tails.
Sheer size gave the snakes their menace. Simply gliding across a building was enough to tear chunks out of it, and they shrugged off kunai rigged with explosive tags without harm. Game appearances also credit them with Fire Release.
Ninja from Sunagakure and Otogakure summoned the trio during the Konoha Crush, sending them to punch through the Leaf's first line of defence. That rampage was cut short for one of them when Jiraiya brought out Gamahiro by way of the Summoning: Food Cart Destroyer Technique, crushing the serpent under the toad's bulk. The anime identified the creatures as boa constrictors.
