Umibozu was a giant of living water that Amachi loosed upon the Land of the Sea. Essentially a translucent blue mass bound together by chakra, it swallowed and drowned victims inside itself and shrugged off nearly all harm unless it was boiled dry.
Roughly the shape of an enormous mass of water, Umibozu appeared see-through and shaded a light blue, its surface bearing a couple of dark spots that passed for eyes along with one for a mouth.
In essence Umibozu was nothing but a vast body of water, drawn together and kept whole by its summoner's chakra, which left it all but impossible to destroy short of evaporating it fully. Feeding it more water made it grow larger, and besides reshaping itself freely, it preferred to seize foes within its bulk and drown them, a tactic Amachi compared to a mobile water prison. Compressed water could also be fired from it as forceful bullets.
In the Kaima Capture Mission the beast gulped down Naruto Uzumaki and pinned him utterly, right up until the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox flooded him with a rush of chakra that let him tear loose and scatter the thing into fine droplets. When it later pieced itself together again, Naruto called on Gamabunta and did it in by hurling an explosive-tagged kunai into the toad's oil, the resulting flames boiling it away completely.
In Naruto, Umibozu is not a real creature but a fictional summon, a giant mass of living water that Amachi summoned and controlled using chakra.
Umibozu is essentially an enormous body of water held together by its summoner's chakra, which makes it almost impossible to destroy unless it is fully evaporated.
Umibozu appeared as a huge, translucent, light blue mass of water with a couple of dark spots serving as eyes and one spot for a mouth.
During the Kaima Capture Mission, Naruto Uzumaki was swallowed by Umibozu until the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's chakra let him burst free and scatter it into droplets. When it reformed, Naruto called on Gamabunta and ignited the toad's oil with an explosive kunai, boiling Umibozu away for good.
Umibozu was summoned and controlled by Amachi, who unleashed the creature on the Land of the Sea during the Kaima Capture Mission.
