A Shippūden Five Kage Summit entry chronicling Danzō's fall to Sasuke, the exhaustion of his Izanagi eyes, and the flashback rivalry with Hiruzen that shaped his desperate final gamble.
Sasuke and Danzō run each other through with the Chidori Sharp Spear and the Wind Release: Vacuum Blade. Danzō moves to undo his wounds with Izanagi, only to find every Sharingan eye on his right arm sealed shut. Madara realizes Sasuke used genjutsu to trick Danzō into believing his Izanagi window had grown, so Danzō spent all ten eyes while thinking he had used only eight.
As Danzō pulls free, his right shoulder swells uncontrollably and sprouts a tree, forcing him to sever the arm entirely, since his low chakra cannot govern Hashirama Senju's cells or the Wood Release. He unwraps his head to reveal Shisui Uchiha's Sharingan, the eye able to cast Kotoamatsukami. Choosing to save that power to control Madara, Danzō seizes Karin as a human shield. She pleads with Sasuke to save her, but he impales them both, striking one of Danzō's vital points.
Danzō flees across the Samurai Bridge as Sasuke follows, smirking, until Madara blocks the path to claim Shisui's eye. A flashback recalls the First Shinobi World War, when Danzō served in an escort unit beside Kagami Uchiha, Torifu Akimichi, and his rival Hiruzen Sarutobi. Pursued by twenty Kumo-nin, the team needed one member to stay behind, and when Danzō hesitated out of his hunger to live, Hiruzen volunteered. Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage, scolded Danzō for competing rather than cooperating, then chose to be the decoy himself, naming Hiruzen the Third Hokage before departing on his suicide mission. In the present, Danzō resolves to sacrifice himself as Hiruzen once did, unleashing his Reverse Four Symbols Sealing to draw Madara and Sasuke's souls into his body, but both escape the sphere's reach. Dying, he reflects on his lifelong rivalry with Hiruzen and laments never becoming Hokage.
Sasuke's genjutsu tricks Danzō into exhausting all ten of his Izanagi eyes. Danzō reveals Shisui's implanted Sharingan and takes Karin hostage, but Sasuke stabs through both of them. A flashback details Danzō's rivalry with Hiruzen and Tobirama's self-sacrifice, framing Danzō's final failed attempt to seal Sasuke and Madara away as he dies.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....

Danzo Shimura is fatally wounded by Sasuke Uchiha, who impales him along with his hostage Karin after Danzo seizes her as a human shield; Danzo later dies attempting a last-ditch sealing technique against Sasuke and Madara.
This episode frames Danzo Shimura as a self-serving antagonist who takes Karin hostage to shield himself, hoards Shisui Uchiha's stolen Sharingan for his own ambitions, and, in flashback, is shown competing with Hiruzen Sarutobi out of a hunger to live rather than cooperating with his team.
Sasuke uses a genjutsu to trick Danzo into believing his Izanagi window had grown larger than it had, causing Danzo to unknowingly spend all ten of his Sharingan eyes while thinking he had only used eight.
The flashback shows Danzo serving alongside Hiruzen Sarutobi during the First Shinobi World War, when Danzo hesitated to volunteer as a decoy against pursuing Kumo-nin out of a desire to live, so Hiruzen took the risk instead and was later named the Third Hokage by Tobirama Senju.
Dying, Danzo unleashes his Reverse Four Symbols Sealing technique to try to draw Sasuke and Madara's souls into his body, but both escape its reach, and he dies reflecting on his rivalry with Hiruzen and his regret at never becoming Hokage.
