Racing Lightning

Naruto's Rasengan passes straight through Tobi, so Yamato binds the masked man with Wood Release while Kakashi charges his Lightning Cutter and names him as Madara Uchiha. Madara repeats that physical strikes are useless, but Yamato counters that he must turn solid to capture Naruto and vows to strike the instant he does. Madara says he only came to talk, curious how Naruto swayed Nagato into betrayal. Naruto cares only about Sasuke, and Madara agrees to lay out his motives, though he insists the tale must begin with the truth about Itachi.

Back at the summit, the Fourth Raikage snaps White Zetsu's neck, and the Mizukage scolds him for destroying a source of intelligence. Set on finding and killing Sasuke, the Raikage departs with C and Darui after tasking Ao to watch Danzo, who admits he cannot use his technique repeatedly within a day. Mifune rebukes Danzo, while Gaara, Kankuro, Temari, and Kurotsuchi set out on their own hunt. Elsewhere Sasuke cuts down the samurai guard with cold ease, and both Suigetsu and Karin sense a darker shift in his chakra. The Raikage arrives in his Lightning Release Chakra Mode; Darui pins Sasuke with a lightning wave as the Raikage rushes in, only for Jugo to block the blow. C tries to blind Sasuke with a lightning genjutsu, but the Sharingan breaks it. Suigetsu clashes with Darui until his blade shatters, Karin hides through chakra suppression, and Sasuke paralyses C with his own genjutsu. Jugo enters full Sage Transformation and fires his lotus cannons, yet the Raikage walks away unharmed, and with Jugo hurt Sasuke resolves to face the Raikage himself.
