She of the Beginning

Across every land, the God Tree's roots siphon people's chakra and funnel it into Madara, whose body transforms into Kaguya. Sensing the Yin and Yang powers carried by Sasuke and Naruto, she hurls the pair aside with her hair and confirms through her Byakugan that they are the reborn Asura and Indra. When Kakashi asks what she intends, she dismisses the question as wasted on shinobi who misuse chakra, and rather than ravage the world with combat she transports everyone to a dimension of open lava.

Plummeting toward the molten sea, Sasuke summons Garuda and snatches Naruto, while Kakashi pins the unconscious Obito to a wall and dangles from an anchored scroll with Sakura in his grip.

Sasuke explains that he and Naruto must survive, since only they can seal Kaguya away. When Kakashi's scroll burns through, Naruto catches him and Sakura with a chakra arm, and Kaguya answers with a volley of hair needles. Sasuke's Susanoo deflects most, but a few pierce Garuda's tenketsu and send everyone falling until Naruto activates flight to recover them. Kaguya then looses a storm of chakra fists; Naruto blunts it long enough for Sasuke to counterstrike, though she shatters his Susanoo. After Sasuke teleports to Naruto and receives a platform shaped from a Truth-Seeking Ball, Kaguya materializes behind the two and paralyzes them, her face streaked with tears as she remembers her sons. Black Zetsu then emerges from her, coats the pair, and begins draining their chakra while recounting how he has steered shinobi history as Kaguya's will ever since her original sealing.

This installment of the Kaguya Otsutsuki Strikes arc adapts three manga chapters. Fans flagged several animation slips: Naruto is briefly drawn with seven Truth-Seeking Balls instead of six, Sasuke's right Sharingan momentarily goes missing, Kaguya's lipstick vanishes during one clash, and Sakura's fallen forehead protector reappears in a later shot.
