What sets the Corps apart is its structure. Where a typical field medic is slotted into a four-person cell, this unit travels as a single group composed entirely of medical-nin, answering to officers known as Captains. Their presence runs throughout the Chunin Exams, and a team was likewise sent out after the Sasuke Recovery Team.
One of the Captains, Nono Yakushi, is said to have discovered Kabuto Yakushi in the aftermath of the Battle of Kikyo Pass. That account, however, may be false, fabricated by Orochimaru rather than reflecting what truly happened.
