Summary

Inside the Hidden Sand, the Fourth Kazekage hands Baki's squad their instructions for the coming strike against the Leaf. The three children have their doubts, yet as the only Sand ninja cleared to enter the Leaf for the exams, their role cannot be skipped, and Gaara's part in particular is essential to the scheme.

Elsewhere, Naruto is falling with no way to arrest his descent. Facing his own death, he reaches the beast locked within him and manages to open a line of communication. He talks the Nine-Tails into lending a portion of its chakra to spare them both, and the fox gives in. Fueled by that borrowed power, Naruto completes a summoning and calls forth the giant toad Gamabunta.
