Chapter 509 sets Konan against Tobi on the waters of Amegakure, where she names Naruto the light that drew her and Nagato from Akatsuki and turns her deadliest technique on the man she calls darkness itself.
Standing atop a lake in Amegakure, Konan squares off with Tobi. He wants to know what quality in Naruto convinced both her and Nagato to walk away from Akatsuki, and she answers that the boy embodies light and carries within him a bloom named hope. Tobi counters that it was he who steered Yahiko into founding the group and he who granted Nagato the Rinnegan.
Konan launches an assault meant to destroy them both. Remembering how Yahiko and Nagato each spoke of the other as the bridge toward peace, she resolves to become the pillar holding up both of their bridges. When she asks whether Tobi grasps the reason for her betrayal, he admits he does not, and she tells him it is because he is darkness, and no flower can survive without light.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
She then calls upon her ultimate technique and tears the lake beneath the two of them apart. This chapter is part of the Fourth Shinobi World War: Countdown arc and was collected in Volume 54; Viz published it as Viaduct to Peace.
