Summary

Isshiki and Sasuke are both struck by the strange chakra pouring off Naruto. Kurama lays out how the form works, burning through their combined chakra to forge an entirely new kind of energy, and warns Naruto to cut out any wasted motion or stray thought so it can hold on longer. Isshiki presses the attack, yet Naruto slips his blows and strikes back cleanly, prompting Sasuke to judge him the stronger of the two. When Isshiki hurls his cubes and later flings shrunken rods, Naruto simply catches them before they can even regrow, a feat Sasuke could barely follow with his Sharingan.

Key Events

Back in the Leaf, Amado and Katasuke examine Kawaki's prosthetic arm, which draws on Naruto's chakra since it was built for him first. Through that link Kawaki senses Naruto's power fading, and Sasuke and Isshiki soon feel it too. Boruto loses his fight to stay conscious. Isshiki grasps that the transformation is shortening Naruto's life, then starts coughing up blood as Kurama reveals the drain also strikes Isshiki through contact. His remaining time in the body collapses from twenty hours to under thirty minutes, then to ten, while Kurama insists the aim is not victory but simply outlasting him. As Naruto taunts his dwindling foe, Shikamaru presses Kawaki for answers, only for a rift to open and yank Kawaki to the fight, Isshiki having traced the prosthetic's chakra connection. Sasuke tenses at the shift, and Boruto opens his right eye.
