Summary
Eager to relish the twisted joy of pitting a leader against his old teachers, Orochimaru calls back the First and Second Hokage to torment Hiruzen Sarutobi. Away from that clash, Sakura passes along to Naruto and Shikamaru the assignment Kakashi handed them. The tracking hound Pakkun warns the group that nine ninja from the Sound village are shadowing their route.
Naruto favors turning to ambush the pursuers, but Shikamaru argues that the delay would gain nothing, since none of them can match those opponents. He instead offers to fall back alone and stall the enemy long enough for the others to reach Sasuke.
