Summary
By reshaping his own bones, Kimimaro parries or absorbs every strike Rock Lee throws, and as the effects of his drunken style wear off, Lee once again finds no way to wound him. Still, fresh off surgery, Lee refuses to fall, determined to buy time for Naruto. Elsewhere in the forest, Sakon hunts the concealed Kiba, who believes himself safe only to discover Ukon had crept close by donning Kiba's coat and hiding his own scent beneath it.
Meanwhile Shikamaru can no longer hold Tayuya in check, and she turns to finish him off. In each case, just as Lee, Kiba, or Shikamaru faces death, a member of the Sand Siblings sweeps in to pull them clear.
