Standing together once more, the members of Team 7 take stock of how far each has come, with Naruto studying Sasuke's flames and eyes while Sasuke marvels at Naruto's transformed state. Watching nearby, Minato is astonished that his son has learned to reshape and even alter the nature of the Rasengan. Refusing to be outdone, Kiba declares that Team 8 will prove itself too, flaunting a shadow clone before ripping through a mass of the Ten-Tails' spawn in his three-headed wolf form.

Shino follows with a close-range blow that unleashes his special insects, and Hinata, drawing courage from thoughts of Neji and Naruto, dismantles a miniature clone before vowing to combine her Gentle Fist techniques into a single assault. Team Asuma piles on with an Ino-Shika-Cho formation, while Sai swoops toward the main body atop his ink bird, only for Naruto to snatch him from danger with a chakra arm as a clone lunges.

With the enemy multiplying without end, Sai asks whether Naruto can distribute chakra across the army, but Naruto has not yet stored enough of Kurama's power. Sai instead proposes carving a path straight to the Ten-Tails, warning that severe wounds would strand fighters far from the medics. In response, Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke summon Gamakichi, Katsuyu, and Aoda in unison, each creature answering a separate part of the problem.
