Gaara's Death is the 278th chapter of the Naruto manga, part of the Kazekage Rescue Mission. It marks the grim confirmation that the young Kazekage has perished, and the first stirrings of Chiyo's desperate plan to undo that loss.
As the two teams scramble to outrun the coming blast, Kakashi recognizes they will never clear its reach in time. He turns Kamui on Deidara and banishes the explosion into a separate dimension, then buckles from the strain of pushing his Mangekyō Sharingan too far and drops where he stands.
Regrouping on open ground, Sakura bends over Gaara and attempts to bring him back, but his life has already slipped away and her medical skill can do nothing. Grief-stricken, Naruto breaks down and turns his anger on Chiyo, blaming her for having placed Shukaku inside Gaara long ago, a choice that doomed him to isolation and, ultimately, to this end.
Accepting the truth in his outburst, Chiyo kneels beside the fallen youth and begins channeling her forbidden life-transference art. The chapter, collected in volume 31, closes on that quiet gamble. Viz released it under the title The Death of Gaara.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
