Summary
Naruto rushes Itachi but, for all his caution, is drawn into a genjutsu he cannot shake. In another part of the field Guy faces Kisame with no support, the rest of Team Guy already taken. Once Kisame's assault lands, Guy accepts that half measures will not do and resolves to treat the duel with full seriousness.

Guy opens the sixth of the Eight Gates and unleashes his Morning Peacock on Kisame. Neji breaks loose and frees the rest of the team just as Kisame goes down, letting them witness the finish. When they gather to inspect the fallen body, however, what they discover leaves them baffled.
