With his students captured and Naruto snared elsewhere in an illusion, Guy is left to stand against Kisame on his own. Forced to fight in earnest, he unlocks the sixth of the Eight Gates, and the aftermath of his victory leaves his teammates puzzled.
Naruto rushes Itachi but, for all his caution, is drawn into a genjutsu he cannot shake. In another part of the field Guy faces Kisame with no support, the rest of Team Guy already taken. Once Kisame's assault lands, Guy accepts that half measures will not do and resolves to treat the duel with full seriousness.
Guy opens the sixth of the Eight Gates and unleashes his Morning Peacock on Kisame. Neji breaks loose and frees the rest of the team just as Kisame goes down, letting them witness the finish. When they gather to inspect the fallen body, however, what they discover leaves them baffled.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
The chapter is part of the Kazekage Rescue Mission arc and delivers the first of two clashes between Guy and Kisame in the series. The strange corpse the team examines hints that the enemy they defeated was not what it appeared to be.
Might Guy wins this first encounter, opening the sixth of the Eight Gates to land his Morning Peacock technique and take Kisame down, though the team is left puzzled by something strange about the body afterward.
No, not in this first encounter. Guy opens only the sixth of the Eight Gates to unleash Morning Peacock against Kisame; he does not use the Seventh Gate until their later rematch.
In this chapter, Guy is left to fight Kisame alone after the rest of Team Guy is captured and Naruto is caught in Itachi's genjutsu, forcing Guy to take the duel seriously.
Guy fights alone because the rest of his team has already been taken down by Kisame, and Naruto is trapped elsewhere in a genjutsu cast by Itachi.
This chapter is part of the Kazekage Rescue Mission arc, appearing as chapter 258 of the Naruto manga, collected in volume 29.
