Invasion!!

Standing over Konoha, the Deva Path outlines how the strike will unfold. Part of the Pain bodies will hunt down clues to where Naruto is hiding, while the rest make themselves loud targets, tearing through the village's defenders and buildings to keep everyone occupied. The freshly deployed Animal Path slips past the perimeter and calls the remaining bodies to join it, after which the group scatters to carry out each assigned task.

The scene shifts to Kumogakure, where Samui's squad departs on a race to Konoha, determined to arrive before it is too late to help Killer B. At the Akatsuki hideout, meanwhile, the members present labour to draw the Eight-Tails out of the captured body, only to discover the prisoner is a forgery. The genuine B has already walked away from his clash with Taka, planning to use the belief that he was taken to slip off and study under Sabu.

The Deva Path reveals the two-pronged strategy behind the raid, splitting the bodies between reconnaissance and destruction. The Animal Path enters first and gathers the others to its side. In the north, Samui's team leaves the Land of Lightning bound for the Leaf. The captors realise their Eight-Tails host is a fake, and the true Killer B exploits his faked capture to vanish and seek out a new teacher.
