Madara Uchiha (chapter)

Curious about who called him back, Madara presses Mū for answers, prompting Kabuto to take full command of Mū and speak with Madara directly. Kabuto boasts that his method of revival has made Madara mightier than he ever was in his prime. Gaara opens the attack, but Madara slips past the sand and retaliates with a sweeping blast of fire, which the Alliance smothers behind a shared wall of water. Wading into close combat, Madara tears through the allied ranks until Ōnoki lifts the earth beneath him, pinning him into the path of Naruto's Rasengan.

Madara shields himself with Susanoo, but as Naruto shifts toward Sage Mode, Ōnoki lightens Gaara's sand so it can wrench Madara free of the armour and expose him to a Rasenshuriken. Madara counters by awakening his Rinnegan and absorbing the strike, confirming Kabuto's theory about how the Sharingan evolves. Madara rejects the notion that Kabuto authored his power, then weaves seals through his Susanoo to call a meteorite down onto the field.
