The fifth Boruto chapter erupts as the Chūnin Exams are shattered by two Ōtsutsuki invaders. Disqualified and reeling, Boruto watches his cheating device prove useless against Momoshiki, while Naruto, Sasuke, and the Kage scramble to shield a stadium of civilians from an enemy hunting chakra itself.
Naruto strips Boruto of his standing in the Chūnin Exams for relying on the forbidden Kote, telling his son they will settle it afterward. Boruto snaps back, doubting his father will ever find the time and blaming the whole mess on never having been properly taught. Katasuke seizes the moment to promote his device, but the argument dies when Kinshiki crashes into the arena and caves in the structure with a single blow. Temari, Sakura, and Gaara move to guard the spectators, Kankurō hauls people clear of falling rubble with his chakra threads, and Gaara orders Shinki to stay out of the fight.
As Naruto urges Boruto to flee, Momoshiki drops in and kicks the Hokage aside. Sasuke rushes to catch Sarada while Mitsuki covers a child, and Sasuke trades barbs with Kinshiki. Boruto hurls Fire Release and other techniques from his Kote at Momoshiki, only to watch each one vanish into the invader's absorption. Naruto pulls his son from harm's way, and even Shikamaru's shadow-based restraint from a distance is simply swallowed up. Sasuke explains that these are the beings Kaguya's scroll warned of, come to claim the chakra fruit. When Naruto demands they spare the innocent since he is their true target, Momoshiki dismisses everyone present as inferior, downs chakra pills, and unleashes a colossal strike woven from every jutsu he has taken in.
Blaming himself for having handed Momoshiki that power, Boruto conjures a shadow clone to shield Sarada. Naruto answers the incoming blast by forming Kurama's head out of chakra and spawning clones to cover everyone left in the stands, with Sasuke feeding him chakra to bolster the effort. As Momoshiki commits to his full assault on the stadium, Naruto asks Sasuke to keep the children safe and braces to face the enemy without holding back.
A continuity slip appears when Naruto enters Six Paths Sage Mode: his right palm still bears the Six Paths Yang Power seal, even though Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki had reclaimed that power following Kaguya's sealing. The mistake was corrected for the collected edition. The scene also differs from Boruto: Naruto the Movie, where the two invaders name themselves aloud, whereas here it is Sasuke who identifies them from the scroll's records.

We ranked the six most popular women of Naruto from worst to first, and our number one is going to start a fight. The official poll got it wrong....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
