Summary

Jiraiya attempts a dramatic arrival, only for Naruto to puncture the moment by pointing out that he had simply wandered off to flirt with a woman. Because that woman turned out to be caught in a genjutsu, Jiraiya works out that Itachi and Kisame had staged the distraction to pull him away from Naruto, which confirms for him that Akatsuki really is hunting the Nine-Tails.
