Naruto and Sasuke 4

The fallout from Sasuke and Naruto's attacks tears apart the surrounding valley and even shears the heads from the statues of Madara and Hashirama. The resulting shock-waves reach far enough for Kakashi to feel them as he looks on. With their chakra reserves badly drained, the two press on regardless, trading fierce taijutsu blows while their minds drift to Academy days spent practicing Traditional Shinobi Sparring.

Elsewhere on the battlefield, Sakura finally regains consciousness and at once asks what is happening. The duel between the two fighters winds down to feeble, faltering exchanges. Kurama manages to gather a small amount of chakra and pass it to Naruto, but before he can put it to use, Sasuke absorbs it to power his own decisive strike. Preparing what he names his strongest attack, Sasuke announces that he will at last be alone and tells Naruto goodbye.

A Naruto: Color Edition of this chapter was included with the digital release of the 2014 issue 48 of Weekly Shonen Jump. It falls within the Kaguya Otsutsuki Strikes arc and sets up the final blow of the duel.
