One Technique

Spotting a thin crack across Tobi's mask, Guy and Naruto assume Naruto's earlier strike broke through. Kakashi doubts it, arguing the split looks cut by something sharp rather than punched, and he recalls the lightning-charged kunai he hurled and then teleported away with Kamui. When B tries to slam the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path as it warps toward becoming the Ten-Tails, a barrier from Tobi swats the attempt aside, leaving the group unable to touch the statue until its master is dealt with.

Strategy set, Kakashi has the others test his theory. They spring onto B's palm and are flung straight at Tobi. Guy leads with his Sōshūga, which Tobi slips by going intangible and reading the moves through his Sharingan. Taunting him, Guy baits Tobi into absorbing the nunchaku, which forces him solid, and Naruto follows instantly with a Rasengan. Tobi phases through, mocking the effort, but the sphere scatters just short of passing through him and detonates, mangling his right arm and throwing him back.

Tobi grasps that the Rasengan was whisked into the other dimension by Kamui right as he tried to solidify. From this, Kakashi draws his conclusion: the intangibility and the teleporting are not two separate jutsu working together but one and the same technique.
