Jiraiya faces a bewildering truth: Pain has summoned two more bodies, each carrying the Rinnegan. As the Toad Sage struggles against foes who appear to share a single field of vision, chapter 377 lays out the deadly puzzle of the multiple Pains.
The pair of forms Pain calls forth both prove to carry the Rinnegan, leaving Jiraiya stunned that three separate wielders now stand before him. He presses the attack regardless and manages to blind one of them. Joining forces with the Two Great Sage Toads, he unleashes a combined elemental barrage, yet a second body simply soaks up the assault along with everything that follows.
When Jiraiya turns on the sightless body, it parries his strikes without trouble, guided somehow by what a companion body can see. Fukasaku observes this and floats a theory: the enemies are pooling their vision across bodies.
Pain's two summoned bodies are revealed to wield the Rinnegan. Jiraiya blinds one and teams with the Two Great Sage Toads for an elemental attack that a second body absorbs. Fukasaku theorizes the bodies share a common sight.
