Summary

Slipping into the Leaf unseen, Koji dwells on the words he fed Delta, who now suspects he tricked her so he could work without her watching over him. He sets a toad loose to search for Kawaki. Inside the Uzumaki home, Kawaki broods over a glue tube and Boruto's prickly attitude. Naruto proposes a sparring match with Boruto, who plays it cool despite his obvious excitement, drawing a tease from Himawari. Naruto invites Kawaki to observe, framing the bout as a chance to learn about Kāma. Boruto opens with taijutsu backed by shadow clones, and the duplicates catch Kawaki's attention before Naruto sweeps them away. Pressing Boruto to stop holding back, Kawaki flares his own Kāma so that Boruto's mark answers in resonance, insisting it will only make him stronger. Naruto agrees that a friendly match beats real combat as a way to understand the seal.

With the mark active, Boruto lands sharper blows than before. When he cuts loose with a Lightning Release, Naruto blocks using a clone and turns its burst of smoke into cover to slip behind his son and knock him aside. Naruto credits the improvement to both the Kāma and Boruto's own effort, and the two close the bout with the Seal of Reconciliation, which Himawari describes to Kawaki as a kind of salute. The gesture stirs Kawaki's memory of training under Jigen, who only ever beat and belittled him to force the mark awake. Afterward Kawaki admits the spar looked fun and asks whether Boruto always fights that way. Naruto floats the idea of ninjutsu lessons, but Kawaki says he is no shinobi and cannot mold chakra. Naruto counters that chakra lives in everyone and binds people together. Curious about the cloning jutsu, Kawaki imagines using copies to vent frustration by beating himself up, a notion Naruto gently rejects, recommending a real rival instead and offering himself as living proof. Kawaki heads out to fetch Himawari's broken vase and falls under the gaze of Koji's toad.
