Summary
Itachi calls up Susanoo, the last of the powers his Mangekyō Sharingan grants him, and the spectral guardian wraps around him to turn aside all harm. Watching this, Orochimaru volunteers to help Sasuke bring his brother down. The Eight Branches Technique bursts out of Sasuke's body and lunges at Itachi, but Susanoo shears through the serpent's heads, forcing Orochimaru to show himself. He thanks Itachi for driving Sasuke to his limit and thereby giving him a chance to break loose. As he moves to claim Sasuke's body, Susanoo strikes him. A unique power of the guardian's blade then seals Orochimaru away, stripping him and his cursed mark from Sasuke entirely.
