The Boy with the Sharingan…!!

After crossing paths with a strange boy who wields the Sharingan and bears the Uchiha crest, Sasuke dispatches a hawk toward Konohagakure to alert Naruto. Back in the village, Sarada's turmoil over who she is only deepens: she confides to Shizune that no birth record for her exists in Konoha, which fuels her doubts about her parentage, and Shizune's dodging of the subject offers no comfort. Over a meal, Chocho grumbles about her father Choji's bottomless appetite while her mother Karui tunes it out.

Irritated at being brushed aside as she tries to slim down, Chocho sighs just as Sarada arrives, then jokingly floats the idea that her parents are not really hers. Mitsuki, listening in, dismisses this by noting that girls their age routinely start probing their own identities, which only annoys Chocho further. Sarada resolves to track down her father on her own or press the Seventh Hokage for answers. In his office, Naruto spots Sasuke's hawk, grasps the situation, and confers with Kakashi; the two suspect the boy is not a survivor of the Uchiha clan's massacre but another of Orochimaru's experiments.

Naruto leaves a shadow clone to manage the village alongside Shikamaru and sets out to rendezvous with Sasuke and Yamato. Sarada overhears this and decides to trail him, only to find Chocho tagging along under the belief that Sarada is helping her locate her own "real" parents. Somewhere far off, the mysterious boy reports his short clash with Sasuke to a figure draped in an Akatsuki cloak. Together they swear they can never pardon Sasuke for slaying his elder brother Itachi, and they vow to make him answer for it.

Sasuke sends a hawk to warn Naruto about the Sharingan-wielding boy. Sarada learns her birth is unrecorded in Konoha and voices doubts about her parents. Naruto and Kakashi conclude the boy is likely one of Orochimaru's experiments, and Naruto departs to meet Sasuke and Yamato. Sarada and Chocho set off to follow him, while the boy and his Akatsuki-cloaked ally vow revenge on Sasuke over Itachi.

This chapter is part of Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring and appeared in Volume 73, with a Japanese release dated May 25, 2015. Viz Media titled it The Sharingan Boy. A noted art error shows Kakashi's scar absent in one panel.
