Key Events

While the celebration unfolds, other pieces move quietly. Taka sets out toward the village, and Zetsu, having observed the duel, carries word of Pain's defeat to the rest of Akatsuki. Tobi dispatches Kisame to hunt the Eight-Tails while he attends to separate business.

The strain of shielding Konoha leaves Tsunade comatose, so the Fire Daimyō must name a replacement leader. Kakashi's name comes up as one of the newer figures trained under past Hokage, but Danzō argues that he and every Hokage before him were too soft on rival nations, blaming that leniency for the village's ruin. Persuaded by the argument, the daimyō installs Danzō as the Sixth Hokage.
