Jiraiya in the Naruto anime is voiced in the original Japanese by Houchuu Ootsuka, a Japanese voice actor born in 1954 in Okayama Prefecture, active in the industry since 1980.
Hochu Otsuka is known for voicing Jiraiya, one of the Legendary Sannin and Naruto's mentor, in Studio Pierrot's Naruto. Jiraiya trains Naruto in toad summoning and the Rasengan before falling in battle against his former pupil, Pain.
Jiraiya is a self-proclaimed super-pervert with fierce loyalty to his student Naruto Uzumaki. Hochu Otsuka voices the character, one of the three Legendary Sannin, across the series.
Otsuka voices Mont Blanc Noland in One Piece and Sakonji Urokodaki in Demon Slayer. He also plays the ace pilot Yazan Gable in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Deneb in Kamen Rider Den-O.
Hochu Otsuka is one of Japan's busiest voice actors, working in the industry since the late 1970s. He is represented by the agency Crazy Box.
Otsuka is the regular Japanese dub voice for Jean-Claude Van Damme and Donnie Yen. This dubbing work runs alongside his extensive anime and video game voice credits.
