Eaten by the Marine officer Very Good, this Paramecia fruit lets its owner scatter his body into clusters of berry-shaped spheres. Being made of round balls shrugs off blunt force but leaves the user exposed to cutting weapons.
Belonging to the Paramecia branch of Devil Fruit, this power reshapes the eater's body into a swarm of small, berry-like orbs, earning them the title of Grape Human. The one who swallowed it is the Marine Very Good. VIZ and Funimation both translate the name as the Berry-Berry Fruit, with Beri derived from the English "berry" and not to be mixed up with the Belly, the currency used across the One Piece world.
Once the fruit is eaten, its holder can break apart into a set of round, cannonball-shaped pieces. This grants immunity to impact damage. In that respect it behaves as an inverse counterpart to Buggy's fruit, the Bara Bara no Mi, whose owner instead shrugs off slashing blows rather than blunt ones. When Franky drove his Strong Right punch into Very Good, the strike simply passed through the berry balls without effect. The anime lets these detached pieces hover and circle a foe so each sphere can dive in from a fresh direction, while the manga limits them to bouncing; either way the entire body, feet included, can float freely, which the Bara Bara no Mi cannot manage. The trade-offs are steep. Defense comes at the cost of power and pace, so Franky's fists and Zoro's blades both blocked the charges with ease. The body divides only a single time and cannot subdivide into smaller fragments, and the user must watch every piece, since a seized ball is hard to retrieve. Franky ended the fight by clutching Very Good's head and stripping away his defense. Cutting attacks and the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses round out its vulnerabilities.
Very Good, a captain within the Marines, is the sole known holder. He splits into the cluster of orbs he calls "berries" and hurls them at a target from several angles at once, using each ball as a launched projectile to press an opponent from multiple sides.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
The Beri Beri no Mi is a Paramecia Devil Fruit that lets its user break their body apart into small, berry shaped orbs, earning them the title Grape Human. It was eaten by the Marine officer Very Good.
The Beri Beri no Mi grants immunity to blunt, impact damage since the user's body splits into round, cannonball shaped pieces that simply absorb the force of punches.
The Beri Beri no Mi trades power and speed for defense, so its berry form attacks are easily blocked, and the body can only split once with no further subdivision. It also remains vulnerable to cutting attacks, unlike its inverse counterpart, the Bara Bara no Mi.
Franky defeated Very Good's Beri Beri no Mi form by grabbing his head directly, stripping away the protection of his scattered berry body.
The Beri Beri no Mi is essentially the inverse of Buggy's Bara Bara no Mi: it protects against blunt attacks rather than slashing ones, though its user can still be cut by bladed weapons.
